As part of the Pediatric Health and Diseases Nursing course, third-year Nursing Department students conducted health education activities for kindergarten students. Throughout the semester, these activities supported children in developing healthy lifestyle habits and included awareness-raising activities to introduce the nursing profession. These educational programs significantly contributed to both increasing children's health awareness and improving the professional knowledge and skills of nursing students in a practical setting.
The kindergarten education programs, which were conducted with great interest throughout the semester, provided a good example of how health education becomes much more lasting through play and interaction-based methods. Furthermore, these activities made significant contributions to social responsibility projects carried out within the scope of university-community collaboration.
As the Nursing Department, we aim to continue these types of educational programs, which contribute to the healthy development of children and support the professional development of our students, in the coming semesters as we have done every year.
