On Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM, as part of the activities held within the scope of the Pediatric Health and Diseases Nursing course, a donation stand was opened by LÖSEV (Turkish Leukemia Foundation) in front of the Faculty of Health Sciences building with the slogan "Support for LÖSEV from Future Nurses: Join the Movement of Kindness, Be a Hope!". During the donation event, students and academics contributed to support the treatment processes and basic needs of children with leukemia. The event, which attracted great interest throughout the day, created significant awareness in terms of strengthening social solidarity and social responsibility. On the same day, at 3:00 PM, a webinar was held online with Assoc. Dr. Derya EVGİN, a faculty member of the Child Development Department at Kayseri University Faculty of Health Sciences, as the speaker. The webinar, titled "Communication in the Digital Age: Risks and Opportunities," addressed the effects of digitalization on children, families, and society; the opportunities offered by digital communication; and the risks it brings. Important information on developing healthy communication skills in the digital age was shared during the event, which attracted great interest from students. The aim of these activities was to increase students' social awareness and to raise their understanding of current issues.
