A booth event themed "Every Breath Precious: COPD Awareness Day" was organized within the scope of World COPD Day, in collaboration with the Department of Internal Medicine Nursing of the Nursing Department and the Turkish Thoracic Society Special Committee on Nursing. The event, which took place on November 20, 2025, from 12:00 to 17:00, was attended by our university's academic and administrative staff, as well as students. At the event, posters and brochures prepared on COPD, the burden of COPD, the conditions that cause COPD, how to prevent COPD, breathing exercises in the fight against COPD, life with COPD, nutrition in COPD, common facts and misconceptions about smoking and e-cigarettes were displayed. Saturation was measured before and after balloon inflation, and breathing exercises were demonstrated. In addition, questions of the participants were answered, and information was provided. Nearly 200 participants attended the booth, and the feedback received from the participants indicated that they found the event useful.
