Nurses' Day Panel was held.

Within the scope of May 12 World Nurses Day, a Nurses Day Panel was organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing. Rector Prof Dr Cüneyt Erenoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof Dr Mehmet Yılmaz Akgün, Deputy Provincial Health Director Specialist Dr Aslı Okan, our Hospital and State Hospital administrations, Non-Governmental Organizations, academicians, nurses and students attended the panel held in the Conference Hall of our Hospital.

The panel, which started with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, continued with the concert of the music team from the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts. After the concert, the opening speeches started. Our Hospital Chief Physician Assoc. Prof. Hasan Ali Kiraz made the first speech; Talking about the history, importance and value of nursing, he continued his words as follows: "The honorable service provided by our nurses for human health, who fulfill their duties with great sacrifices under difficult conditions, deserves all kinds of praise and appreciation. Their hearts are full of love for humanity and they are always with us with their healing hands." "I congratulate all our nurses who are members of this sacred and honorable profession on May 12, Nurses' Day, and wish them success in their duties, and on this occasion, I wish God's mercy to all our nurses who have passed away for various reasons."

Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yılmaz Akgün, talked about the past, present and future of the nursing profession in his speech.

The last of the opening speeches was made by Rector Prof Dr Cüneyt Erenoğlu. In his speech; "With your sacrifice, dedication and compassion, you are the biggest supporters of our patients on their path to recovery. You perform your profession in the best way possible, day and night, without knowing what fatigue is, even under the most difficult conditions. Your contributions are admirable," said Erenoğlu, and continued his words as follows: "As a university, we are responsible for improving the working conditions of our nurses." "We are determined to do all kinds of work to improve and support their professional development. We will continue to cooperate closely with you on this issue and always take your requests into consideration."

Afterwards, Associate Professor Nazan Çakırer Çalbayram from the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, made a presentation. The first session ended with the presentation of plaques to the nurses who retired in 2023.

The second session started with Lecturer Dr Ali Kaplan's presentation titled "Lean Health". The second presentation was made by Lecturer Hörü Karadıllı with his presentation titled "Visibility of Care and Scoring Systems". Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Responsible Nurse Specialist Nurse Fatma Aldemir became the third speaker of the second session with the presentation "The Power of Care in Healing: Family-Centered Care in Pediatric Clinics".
